The Origin and Expedition of NIDAAN
NIDAAN started its services on 23.09.2013 with counseling, training programs, and the Examination Help Line Numbers for School students. The awareness and sensitization program for parents, and teachers on school premises. The Diagnosis, Testing, and Remedial Teaching one-to-one started in March 2016. The journey with classroom and Centre intervention started with three children in rented premises of Parijaat Complex, followed by E-1/204 now reached B-291(Shahpura) again in a rented building ( Ground plus two upper floors) with all types of Therapies and activities. The premises consist of a Specious Hall (for Physiotherapy/OT/Sensory Activities).
The first floor is a front office, counseling, and testing, Four Cubicles for one-to-one intervention, a Hall for Prayer and Meditation, an Academic Room, a Speech Therapy Room, a Kitchen, and Two Wash Rooms.
The Second Floor has One Music Dance Room, a Library, Indoor games, a Speech Therapy Room, One Rest Room, attached Wash Room in all rooms.
We have made infrastructure as per the requirement of Persons with Disability. A ramp and Wheel Chair are available to reach the Ground Floor. Today we have around 65 persons with disabilities and 26 Therapists, Special Educators, Physiotherapists, Music and dance Experts, Arts and Craft Teachers, and Supporting staff. Nine students are on free tuition, and therapies 12 are given fee concessions based on their economic status. The Centre is bringing people from various parts of the city in its Van for early intervention.
